On the top step of the podium of the "The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships 2020" a Lambrusco di Sorbara wins in the "World Champion Sparkling Red Wine" category. Overall 12 medals, of which 3 gold, awarded to the famous Emilian bubbles.

A Lambrusco di Sorbara, in fact, won first place in the "World Champion Sparkling Red Wine" category . This is the Lambrusco di Sorbara DOP White Label of the Zucchi company . A Charmat method that particularly impressed the jury, composed as every year by Tom Stevenson , creator of the competition and one of the greatest experts in the world of champagne and sparkling wines, together with the Master of Wine Essi Avellan and Simon Stockton . The sparkling wine of the company based in San Prospero, in the province of Modena, was in fact also awarded the title of "Best Lambrusco 2020" and that of "Best in Class Lambrusco Red Brut".

This year the competition broke all records in terms of participation - more than 1000 entries from over 30 countries around the world - and for the first time saw Italy overtake France in the final medal table, equalizing the number of golds, 47 each, and clearly detaching the cousins from beyond the Alps in the calculation of silver with 111 medals to 42. Excellent final result for the Emilian Lambrusco which also collected 12 medals , 3 gold and 9 silver, confirming itself as one of the most important and popular Italian bubbles.
