Young people on whom, as the President Claudio Biondi explains, the Consorzio Tutela Lambrusco focuses a lot: " We want to make our" Young "ambassadors of Lambrusco in the world. They are producers who, on average, speak two languages perfectly, know the product and are eager to share our tradition with new consumers - increasingly attentive and curious - ".
As part of the wine tasting, the "Giovani del Lambrusco" will conduct a series of B2B on-line events with a selection of foreign reference interlocutors. Wednesday 19 May the focus will be with the Japanese market and Tokyo, in an online tasting moderated by the first Japanese sommelier in Italy Shigeru Hayashi , founder of Solo Italia and wine expert on the Japanese market, while on May 25 the appointment will be with the USA and the sommelier Randall Restiano, Beverage Director at Eataly NYC Flatiron, who will moderate the presentations of Lambrusco producers. These first two tastings will be followed by others in the autumn, always designed for the American and Japanese market.
This is a series of events as part of the international promotion campaign that the Lambrusco Protection Consortium has been carrying out since 2021 following the union of several protection bodies. In fact, the Consortium of Lambrusco di Modena and the Protection and Promotion of Reggiano and Colli di Scandiano and Canossa PDO wines have merged into a single body precisely with a view to presenting themselves to international markets under the aegis of a single flag.
"The final objective of the digital tasting project at an international level - adds President Biondi - is to increase the knowledge and dissemination of our denominations - all already present in the Asian and American market - and of our Lambrusco and its colors. Lambrusco in the world it is in fact identified as a sparkling dark red wine: we need to make people understand that there are many Lambrusco vines, which can convey completely different experiences ".
" Lambrusco is the wine of colors, one different from the other - concludes the Director of the Consorzio Tutela Lambrusco Giacomo Savorini - colors and scents that can be perfectly combined with different and numerous types of cuisine. Thanks to its versatility and its wide range of quality references, Lambrusco also lends itself well to combinations with ethnic dishes ".
The wine tastings of the Lambrusco Protection Consortium are organized in collaboration with I Love Italian Food , an international network that promotes and defends the true Italian food and wine culture. A community that, since 2015, has reached more than three billion digital contacts all over the world, producing contents for the narration of Italian food and organizing international events to create dialogue with professionals.
