The companies of Gallo Nero achieved excellent positions in the Top 100 of Wine Spectator, the most anticipated List. Another great achievement for Chianti Classico is the prestigious nomination for the title of "Wine Region of the Year 2014" of the famous American magazine Wine Enthusiast.

The famous Top 100 of Wine Spectator has awarded the wines from Tuscany and those of Gallo Nero. The first Italian wine in the ranking is right Chianti Classico Gran Selezione San Lorenzo 2010 of Castello di Ama. At the twenty–first place, Chianti Classico Riserva 2010 Castello di Volpaia. Excellent position for Flaccianello 2011 of Fontodi, exceptional Super Tuscan wine. Of the nineteen Italian wines rated, as many as 8 are Tuscan.
