The Strada del Barolo: 2015 is rich in proposals

The Strada del Barolo e Grandi Vini di Langa association has presented a number of interesting activities, including confirmations and novelties for the new year

A reinforced proposal is the fundamental guideline for the activities of the Strada del Barolo also in 2015 as the president Lorenzo Olivero explains: «I see many opportunities for the future, but to seize them we need to focus on our excellences (landscapes, wines and wine and food productions) and to increase the visibility of the territory».



Strada del Barolo: Events and animating on the territory

The Strada del Barolo is planning a series of initiatives in order to make discover the beautiful hills which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Treasure Hunt in the Langa of Barolo. On Friday, May 1st, 2015

With the collaboration of Turismo in Langa, the city of Alba and the municipalities involved: along the hilly territory of the Langhe, among historic wineries, wonderful landscapes, castles and perched small villages, three routes meander to be followed by car and motorbike to "flush out" the clues that will lead to the "ultimate treasure".

"Io, Barolo". On Saturday, May 30th, 2015

Another very appreciated confirmation for the lovers of the "King of Wines": the producers of the Strada del Barolo present to the public the 2011 vintage of Barolo, in the beautiful Castle of Roddi, with an unlimited tasting of over 30 different labels. To complete the program of the evening, show cooking and Wine&Food laboratories, offered thanks to the partnership with the Strada del Riso Vercellese di Qualità. On this occasion it will be possible to visit the rooms of the Castle of Roddi with the guides of the Turismo in Langa association.

Rendez–vous on the Strada del Barolo. On Saturday 7th and on Sunday, November 8th, 2015

A whole weekend dedicated to wine–lovers and all lovers of the Langhe, who will have the opportunity to visit the wineries, meeting in person the producers and tasting their wines. In addition:

– The restaurants of the Strada del Barolo will propose ad hoc menus with traditional dishes of the Langhe

– Museums and castles will be open for tours

– The accommodation facilities will offer special discounts and packages!



Wine Tasting Experience®

The Wine Tasting Experience® are an original tasting formula designed by the Strada del Barolo, continue in 2015 with an initial schedule of events planned in the spring and in the fall, at the International Fair of the White Truffle of Alba.

"Il Gusto del Territorio", "I Cru del Re" and "Barolo&Barbaresco" are the themes that will alternate throughout the year:

– "Il Gusto del Territorio" is an introductory course among the most characteristic productions of Piedmont, with a tasting of four different designations;

– "I Cru del Re" is a journey marked by a tasting of three different labels of Barolo;

– "Barolo&Barbaresco" will propose the comparison between the two great wines of the Langhe, with the tasting of three different labels.
