Barolo and Barbaresco: the new prestigious years are coming

2015 presents itself with over 17 million bottles of the two finest Nebbiolo: Barolo and Barbaresco



A great 2015 starts with Barolo 2011 and Barbaresco 2012 together with hopes and good intentions for the more than 17 million bottles of the two finest Nebbiolo.



From January 1st the new years of Barolo and Barbaresco made their debut, after spending respectively three and two years of aging.



The production of Barolo and Barbaresco

Barolo 2011 and Barbaresco 2012 are excellent years, long–lived and of great promise. For Barolo, moreover, there will be great news: «First of all – the chairman of the Consortium, Pietro Ratti, explains – Barolo will reach 13 million bottles, thanks to the latest vineyards that have started production before the block of the plants established in 2012».



Barbaresco in recent years is always around 4.5 million.



The nice challenge of Barolo and Barbaresco



It will take a few months before you get out the bottles from their cellars. The producers will establish each their own sales strategy, among expectations for a better fining and willingness to anticipate the offer.

«A nice challenge, especially to face international markets, where more than 75% of our wines already arrives and where we are becoming increasingly popular» Ratti says.
