The Cielo e Terra winery has become a case study of success for the Green Week, the event dedicated to best practices in the field of environmental sustainability. Appointment on 18th February at the winery to find out sustainable scenarios in the field of viticulture.
The PINE European project for energy efficiency in SMEs
On 18th February, at 6:00 p.m., at the headquarters of Cielo e Terra in Montorso Vicentino (Vicenza) the results of the PINE–Promoting Industrial and Engineering Efficiency European project, created to promote energy efficiency in industrial SMEs, will be presented.
«Being chosen among 280 European companies, to undertake this path dedicated to the study of the volumes in the energy consumption of SMEs and to the actions to improve energy – Giampietro Povolo, Finance & Operations Manager of Cantina Cielo e Terra, says – in collaboration with the Area Science Park of Trieste, a center of excellence in international research, is our reason for pride and, at the same time, reflects our philosophy of action aiming for continuous improvement and constantly looking for work for the optimization of all business processes, including energy management».
Cantina Cielo e Terra: the sustainable path
Vicenza–based company founded in 1908, Cielo e Terra is the first case of wine company in Italy to introduce, since 2006, the lean management reduce waste. The sustainable path enters at all stages of the production process:
– the choice of the materials used (from light bottles with a lower environmental impact to packaging with FSC certified paper),
– the technologies (LED lighting, recovery of calories from technical systems, recovery of process water, waste sorting and recycling project of RafCycle label bearings),
– the improvement of processes and the working environment.
Cielo e Terra at the Green Week 2015
From 16th to 22nd February the "Green Week 2015, the factory of sustainability" will be held. The week is sponsored by VeneziePost, and deals with innovation in the field of sustainability with a series of stages dedicated to raise awareness of the most innovative companies, technologies and products that will mark the future in the various sectors.
The Green Week organizes a meeting on 18th February, at 6:00 p.m., right at the Cielo e Terra winery, to demonstrate the commitment of the winery and the scenarios to compete globally with models and "sustainable" products.
