From 4th to 9th June in Carovigno (Brindisi) at Radici del Sud the native vine varieties of Southern Italy will be the protagonists. Radici del Sud is coming soon, the festival dedicated to the native grapes of the South that rewards the best wines from native grapes of Southern Italy.
From Wednesday 4th to Monday 9th June 2014 the beautiful scenery of the Resort Masseria Caselli Carovigno (Brindisi), located in the Brindisi countryside among centuries–old olive and carob trees, will welcome the participants in Radici del Sud to make discover and learn the best excellences of Southern Italy.
171 wineries in Puglia, Basilicata, Campania, Calabria and Sicily, which will submit 390 wines at the wine–tasting by a national and international jury.
Radici del Sud is the most important wine competition in Southern Italy with a national and international jury. From 6th to 8th June the labels will be evaluated by two different juries, the first consisting of international experts and the second by Italian experts, who will have the task of identifying the most representative wines of each varietal. The wine tasting will be strictly blind and with the assignment of a rating by the jury (the proclamation will take place on the 9th, with the opening day to the public).
