Our region is renowned above all for its excellent production of white wines; for this reason, the Movimento Turismo del Vino FVG has decided to dedicate a weekend Vigneti Aperti to the discovery of the native white wines of the region.
On Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th August the participating winemakers are waiting for you to taste delicious wines and tell you about the latest preparations of the vineyard in view of the upcoming harvest.
You will be involved with unusual knowledge experiences such as a Friulano tasting in the Friulian language with simultaneous translation into Italian (Cantina Puntin), a white dinner at sunset in the park (De Claricini), an exciting tasting by candlelight after tasting grapes of Friulian directly in the vineyard (Elio Vini), a picnic in the vineyard (Tarlao Vignis in Aquileia), a tasting lunch with a menu designed especially for the occasion (Vidussi Vini), as well as visits and walks in the vineyards to check, together with the producers , the state of ripeness of the grapes, discovering which ones are ready for harvest and which ones need a few more weeks.
A valid and original tourist proposal to discover or rediscover our evocative landscapes, the places of excellence in wine ; a pleasant and relaxing opportunity to meet in the open air, suitable for tourists, enthusiasts and families to learn by entering directly into contact with nature.
The regional wineries participating in the initiative are: I Magredi in San Giorgio della Richinvelda (PN), in the province of Udine you will find Cantina Puntin and Tarlao in Aquileia, Elio Vini in Grupignano, Ferrin Paolo in Camino al Tagliamento, Le Due Torri in Corno di Rosazzo, Spolert Winery in Prepotto, Vigne del Malina in Remanzacco and Villa Vitas in Strassoldo. In the province of Gorizia, on the other hand, you can find Borgo Conventi in Farra d'Isonzo, Pascolo in Dolegna del Collio and Vidussi Vini in Capriva del Friuli.
Furthermore, on Saturday 28 August the FAI Group of Cividale del Friuli together with the FAI Delegation of Udine invites you to a special meeting to discover the landscape and food and wine values of Friuli Venezia Giulia: "Take a tour in the vineyard" at the Abbey of Rosazzo . A sensory journey to get to know the Vigne Museum project accompanied by the winemaker Elda Felluga, president of our association, and the writer Matteo Bellotto who will read excerpts from his book "Stories of Wine and Friuli Venezia Giulia". At the end of the walk, there will be a toast with a wine that contains the history of these places: Abbazia di Rosazzo 2017 by Livio Felluga.
