This month's appointment not to be missed is at the Teatro del Sale in Florence, one of the most loved and appreciated multifaceted meeting places in Tuscany, which on Friday 26 May will host the journalist Leonardo Romanelli with his show How to become a sommelier in 50 minutes and three o'clock Tuscan wineries Il Viaggio di Landò, La Vigna sul mare and Villa Saletta ready for guests to taste some of their labels.
The format is the only one proposed by the Circolo Teatro del Sale to its members: dinner with dishes signed by the Chefs of the Theater and the Cibrèo kitchens, and for this evening tasting of the wines that will be poured into the glasses by the winemakers themselves, followed by the show , a comedy written and interpreted by the journalist and food and wine critic Leonardo Romanelli through which he good-naturedly makes fun of the world to which he belongs, highlighting the obsessions that characterize the enthusiasts of this world. The radio host Alessandro Masti will also take the stage as a teetotaler student who wants to know everything about the nectar of Bacchus.
Thanks to this evening it will be possible to get to know the labels of three realities that well represent the variety of Tuscan wine production .
They will be present
Il Viaggio di Landò , a small company in the Pisa area of David Landini, agronomist and oenologist, and Roberta Perna, journalist and wine communicator, which currently has two labels: a 100% Canaiolo red and a white based on Trebbiano, 80% , and malvasia, two totally natural wines whose grapes come from over ninety-year-old vineyards in the Palaia countryside. The Il Viaggio di Landò logo was designed by the journalist, director and cartoonist Sergio Staino.
La Vigna sul Mare , a reality of a few hectares in Pescia Fiorentina (Capalbio) where a rosé, whites and reds are produced from international and local grapes and classic method and charmat bubbles. The company is strongly linked to art and hosts exhibitions and Italian and foreign artists every year. In addition to this, the cellar houses the permanent gallery of Gerardo Masini, a well-known painter of European essentialism, aka Gimas, father of Massimo Masini, owner together with his wife Francesca Serena Monghini of the cellar. Currently it is possible to admire a work by the artist Camilla Ancillotto, painter and sculptor in the company.
Villa Saletta in Palaia in the province of Pisa, a wonderful farm of over 1200 hectares with two ancient villages, one of which, Borgo di Villa Saletta, has been a film set many times and will soon be renovated to give life to a "seven" star resort , woods, vineyards, olive groves, poplar groves, agriculture, truffle fields and three high-quality farmhouses for hospitality. Here a classic method sparkling wine from Sangiovese, a rosé, a Chianti Superiore and four Igt Toscana from native and international grapes come to life. The owner of the company is the English family Hands. David Landini is administrator and technical director.
