On 27th September 2014 you can taste 300 wines from 100 of the best producers in the Veneto region. 300 X 100 is a day dedicated to regional wine excellence in the enchanting setting of the Castle of San Salvatore.
The event will include a full program of tastings for the public and the opening conference dedicated to the figure of the sommelier.
Tasting the Wines of Veneto at 300 X 100
The prestigious location of the event is the Castle of San Salvatore in Susegana (TV), that is the setting for a whole day dedicated to the regional wine excellence. Organized by AIS Veneto, the event offers a program of tastings open to the public for professionals, enthusiasts and curious ones.
At the tasting counters, the wines produced by the 100 best regional wineries, selected along the course of the year by sommeliers from the Veneto region. To accompany the best of the oenology of Veneto, the typical food of Veneto and of the Treviso area: cheese, meats, baked goods and pastries, not to mention the catch of the Venetian lagoon.
The Figure of the Sommelier at 300 X 100
The event will open at 10:00 a.m. with the conference "Sommelier Profession: Instructions for Use". The meeting is dedicated to the profession of sommelier and allows to bring out the training and employment opportunities that this profession offers. Among the speakers, there are also winemakers, sommeliers, wine professionals at the service of companies and restaurateurs.
Guided tastings
The public can participate in two tastings in the afternoon:
3:00 p.m. Bordeaux Style: parallel slalom between the vintages of two great Italian Bordeaux blends.
5:00 p.m. Cortese and Durella: two souls for the Italian classic method

300 X 100: The Ministerial pratronage
The efforts of the AIS members of the Veneto’s winemakers have led to the patronage of "300 X 100" by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry. The event has established itself as a showcase of the excellent wineries in Veneto: «This is a real tour of Veneto in a glass» Marco Aldegheri, president of AIS Veneto, said «which since its first edition has received acclaim by the public, the wineries and the industry. Today, under the patronage of MIPAAF, we see the efforts made by the Veneto’s sommeliers and by the farms to maintain high the quality of the wines presented rewarded».
The entrance fee of € 20 entitles to a free tasting and a Luigi Bormioli tasting glass.
