Three meetings to deepen your senses and learn to concentrate in the present moment while tasting wine.

The first Mindful Drinking course in Italy starts, the new frontier of drinking that is becoming a real trend in the world. The course will be divided into three different meetings scheduled at the Hotel Leonardo in Milan where topics of psychology, oenology and food education will be touched upon, all combined with an introduction to the technique for tasting wines according to the dictates of the Mindfulness theory , or awareness of the present moment , which is achieved through the application of mental concentration techniques . The course, scheduled for 3, 10 and 17 June in Milan , will see psychologists, university professors and tasters speaking in three lessons where the focus will be on the mental approach to wine and its consumption .

The meetings will emphasize how tasting a wine , focusing exclusively on one's senses and the perceptions it gives, allows us to slow down the frenetic pace of our lives and recharge our energies. As explained by Rosamund Dean, the first to coin the expression "Mindful Drinking" and to apply Mindfulness techniques to the act of drinking, this new approach to wine translates into moderate consumption, which does not imply total abstinence as much as the rediscovery of the pleasure of drinking with awareness and attention. << With this course we want to go beyond the now abused concept of "moderate drinking." – Explains Vito Intini, national ONAV president. – We believe in a holistic approach, where tasting wine is a way to better discover yourself and your senses and where you focus on the present moment. >>.

The first meeting (June 3) will see the intervention of Dr. Chiara Ripamonti , psychotherapist and psychoanalyst, researcher in Clinical Psychology of the Department of Psychology of the Bicocca University of Milan, currently professor at the specialization school of the AISPT (Italian Association of Sand Play Therapy), and president of the Psychè Onlus Association, with the theme Wine: Life Experience . Professor Vincenzo Gerbi will speak for the second meeting (10 June) with Cosa Cerchiamo dal Vino , while the last meeting (17 June) will see the intervention of Doctor Alberto Martelli , surgeon, pediatrician and specialist in food sciences, expert in food allergies, which will closely explore the relationship between wine and health .

The second half of all days will be led by ONAV President Vito Intini , with the tasting of two wines selected by ONAV .
