Four exceptional speakers will meet with the regional delegates of the Association and will tell about projects and experiences to share to build tomorrow.
Why dedicate a day to sustainability? Because for AIS this value is fundamental. Wine, even more than the vineyard, represents an ethical concept: it is the result of attention, care, ingenuity and respect for the environment.

ETHICS
An Ethical Project Starting from Cork
Carlos Veloso dos Santos - General Manager Amorim Cork Italy
Carlos Manuel Veloso dos Santos has built a successful career in the cork industry, driven by a deep passion for sustainability and innovation. His long-standing collaboration with Amorim led him to serve as CEO and General Manager of Amorim Cork Italia, the Italian leader in the production and distribution of cork stoppers. Under his leadership, the company has achieved extraordinary results. In 2011, dos Santos created Progetto Etico , a recycling program that placed sustainability at the heart of Amorim Cork Italia's corporate strategy. This commitment to a more responsible future is also reflected in the Suber initiative, launched in 2019, which explores the creative and sustainable potential of cork, transforming it into interior design objects.

THE SOCIAL
Disability in catering and hospitality
Raffaele Massa - Vice President AIS Puglia
Raffaele Massa is an example of how a passion for wine can be a driver of social change. AIS Delegate of Bari, Vice President of AIS Puglia and Cavaliere al Merito della Repubblica, he is a sommelier and trainer who has dedicated his career to promoting the culture of wine and social inclusion. He has organized and directed professional training courses for aspiring Sommeliers in the Bari Delegation since 2004, but his most innovative project is “Il Sommelier Astemio”, which offers a professional training course to boys and girls with disabilities allowing them to enter the world of wine and catering. The project also includes the creation of a Masseria Didattica in Bari, where participants can do a practical internship and prepare for a future career in the sector.
Presentation of the project “Adopt a vineyard with AIS Veneto”
Piero Pellegrini - Founder Casa di Anna
Gianpaolo Breda - President of AIS Veneto
“ Adotta una Vigna” is a concrete example of how a passion for wine can be a vehicle for inclusiveness and sustainability. The project supports the Fattoria Sociale Casa di Anna, which promotes social inclusion through agricultural work, planting a vineyard of resistant grapes (PIWI) managed by vulnerable people.
The vineyard will be an open-air classroom for AIS Sommeliers, who will be able to closely follow the life cycle of the vine, study the aromas in the aromatic herb garden and actively participate in cultivation. AIS members who decide to "adopt a vineyard" will be able to follow the growth of the plants via webcam and, once the vineyard is productive, will receive three magnums of their solidarity wine.
