The Italy of beauty, good, well made and sustainable goes beyond national borders, bringing the 5 Icons of Italian Cuisine to the world overseas: Wine, Coffee, Bread, Pasta and Ice Cream, together with the 5 Emotions of Emotional Intelligence, happiness, dream , sharing, balance, empathy, and transforming into “Emotion Explorers”.

It will do so with a calendar of events, designed to tell the story of Italy in an original way by combining food, lifestyle, design, fashion, color and sensoriality. The focus of the events will also be a dialogue between the Mediterranean diet and international cuisines. To mediate this intercultural exchange, some exceptional testimonials : the starred Chef Heinz Beck and the Master Ice Cream Makers Luca Rizzardini and Alessandro Croce, the baking scientist Carlo di Cristo and Matteo Cunsolo, President of the Richemont Club Italia, who will distribute the patented MPASTA by Antonella Bondi, with the Mix Magico baking mix. Journey in Italy thus becomes much more than an event: it is the translation of a thought that puts man, his uniqueness, his dignity and his sensitivity at the centre, to counteract an increasingly fast and superficial world.

The first event will be in Milan on November 7th and subsequently in the American continent, with the intention of arriving in New York at the UN Palace , and then in Toronto , Canada, thanks to the support of Charlie Arturaola, one of the most well-known faces of the wine in the world, and Joe Cavallo, entrepreneur and patron of the Food&Wine sector, thanks to the collaboration with Alessandro Rossi of Partesa . The protagonists will be the culture of hospitality and dining, but also the many beauties present in our country, united to promote Italy as a cultural destination. This will be done through experiences designed for travelers from all over the world, thanks to the collaboration of some tour operators, which will be reconciled with the thought on which Journey in Italy lays the foundations: experiencing Italy at three hundred and sixty degrees, as happened during the Grand Tour .

< > says Antonella Bondi , Architect, Olfactory Designer and Founder of Journey in Italy . << The travelers of the Grand Tour were attracted to Italy by its beauty made not only of art, but also of landscapes, scents and flavors, which aroused strong emotions in them, which came to us through their writings, which we wish to recall today. The work of the tour operators will be fundamental for us to bring Journey to Italy and the 5 emotions to everyone's home > >.

The concept of "home" and the reassuring traditional cuisine, in particular enclosed in the figure of the "Italian grandmother", will be at the center of the long-term project Nonna Dina Osteria , a real community that will bring together taverns from all over Italy and beyond, who have made the culture of hospitality their mission. The coordinator of the project will be Chef Alessia Morabito .

Phoebe Hoyt , a well-known influencer , will continue to accompany Journey in Italy by creating content in English with a touch of humor and will bring it with her during her Grand Tour with stops in Italy and abroad.

JOURNEY IN ITALY AT THE VIGNALE RESIDENCE

The first Italian edition of the event was held on May 27th. Between environmental sustainability, beauty, design, colour, fashion, the pleasure of sharing, the participants were able to delve deeper into the 5 icons of Italian cuisine, wine, coffee, bread, pasta and ice cream , in relation to their own senses and the 5 emotions of Emotional Intelligence: happiness, dreams, sharing, balance, empathy .

Francesca Boragno , gallery owner and owner of the historic Boragno bookshop in Busto Arsizio (VA), who took care of the cultural aspect at Journey in Italy , declares herself enthusiastic about the success of the event: < a journey to Italy through the flavours, scents and essences that speak and tell of this fantastic country >>. The idea for Journey in Italy is to unite a transversal culture made of emotions, which are then found in the stories of books, in a vastness of different volumes and genres.

Journey in Italy will also be an opportunity to bring the story of the Italian Dream - An Italian Dream Story - beyond national borders. “People See, People Do” : if people see and understand, their way of acting also changes. Thus, the event will present itself abroad as a space for dialogue and exchange on food understood as "sustainable wellbeing", a container of culture, art and savoir-faire.

Journey in Italy - The Grand Tour starts from the desire to enhance the concept of family , of "grandmother", first and foremost, who in every family preserves a priceless heritage of traditions, recipes and sincere flavours. An authenticity which, leaving the home, is found today in the taverns, often very simple and genuine places which have always preserved the tradition of regional cuisine, which in Italy is extremely varied and complex.

Not only respect for traditions, but also future and sustainability : in this, Italy is in a privileged position with a healthy Mediterranean diet. The Italian tradition is based on the valorisation of poor foods, as well as refined ones, transformed in the expert hands of excellent chefs.

Thanks for the tasting to Alessandro Rossi and Paola Restelli , who accompanied those present in their knowledge of wine, from Champagne to great whites. Space was also given to the new trend of low and no alcohol wines, with the meeting conducted by sommelier Paolo Porfidio , to whom we thank.
