The twelfth edition of the international wine competition of the City of Wine "The selection of the Mayor" will be held in Veneto, Asolo (Treviso), due to the collaboration and support of the Veneto Region.
The commission will consist of tasting wine experts, journalists and international experts in the field according to the regulations of the Ministry of Agriculture and the OIV (International Organisation of Vine and Wine).
The selection of the Mayor is a traveling wine competition, which changes location every year and elect one to make the most of all the territories of the wine town: Siena (2002), Conegliano (2003), Dawn (2004), Rome (2005 ), Ortona (2006), Palermo (2007), Cividale del Friuli (2008), San Michele Adige (2009), Brindisi (2010), Torrecuso (2011). Next year the 11 tasting fees will gather in the charming town of Treviso in late May in Asolo (Treviso).
