The wines of the Veneto region join in a team. This is "United Wines of Veneto": the initiative leading to America the Veneto wines of 21 consortia and 24 designations.
The Uvive, the Union of Veneto DOC and DOCG Wines Consortia and in collaboration with Eataly launched "United Wines of Veneto", the wines of as many as 21 consortia with 24 designations.
The world of Veneto wine ranks first in Italy for production with more than 500 million bottles with Designation of Origin, and dishes that have conquered the palates of the whole world.
With Eataly, the "United Wines of Veneto" operation has started, with stops overseas in New York and Chicago, presenting a land of excellence and authenticity, for example creamed cod fish, boiled meat in Venetian style, au gratin Polenta with gorgonzola, and black Risotto with squid ink.
The President of Uvive Arturo Stocchetti said: "the Veneto region is a kind of stronghold. First place for production with nearly 4 million hectoliters a year, and first place for export, for 730 million euro, with a qualitative range, from Prosecco to rosé up to Amarone, able to outline a promised land for wine lovers from all over the world. Ours is a reality that includes as many as 21 Consortia of protection and has as its objective the presentation of our territories in a synergistic way in foreign markets. We have enough to compete adequately in the international arena, we will do it according to the motto: unity is strength".
"Our goal – Stocchetti said – is to present ourselves in a synergistic way in foreign markets to raise awareness on the excellence of the Veneto vineyard. We made ours the motto "unity is strength". We will organize targeted meetings with the press and with operators of the sector, but also tastings and direct contacts with consumers. From Rome to Chicago, via New York, we will focus also on the appeal of our territory. On Venice, perhaps the most popular city, but also on our hills, mountains, lakes and historic towns".
