As well as 19 are the Italian wines in the Top 100 List 2014 of the oenological "bible" Wine Spectator. At the top, a Portuguese wine, but the Italy of wine has gone very well in the "Top 100" List of Wine Spectator, one of the most eagerly awaited rankings in the wine world.

Italy in the Top 100 List of Wine Spectator
The attendance record of Italian wine in the prestigious ranking was achieved in 2002, with 21 wines, of which 7 Brunello wines, like in 1995. Also 2011 was a good year with 20 Italian wines in the "Top 100" List. Until 2000 there were only wines from Tuscany and Piedmont. Then, wines of Southern Italy began to appear, and slowly new wine territories started to be discovered.
