Verduzzo trevigiano

A vine that is very often confused with the more common and widespread Verduzzo Friulano, of uncertain origins. According to a school of thought it would come to the Veneto region from Sardinia at the beginning of the twentieth century, but this theory can not be confirmed since in the island biotypes similar to this grape are not found. Verduzzo Trevigiano differs from the homonymous Friulano for the leaf shape and the bunch, it has good vigor and a late maturation. It is common, particularly in the provinces of Treviso and Venice, as well as a very small portion of land in Friuli Venezia Giulia, on the border with Veneto.
