The first written documentation relating to this grape dates back to 1567. Less well known than the Trebbiano Toscano vine and the Yellow vine variety, it is widespread in the area of Brescia (where it is called Trebbiano di Lugana) and in the Verona area where it participates, together with Garganega, to the production of Soave. Trebbiano di Soave is a vine with a good vigor, generous, with the average size pyramid-shaped clusters, rather compact. It has grapes of spherical shape and greenish skin with widespread dots, fairly thick and hard. It is never vinified alone, but always together with Garganega.
