It is a red grape vine variety grown exclusively in Tuscany. Unlike the Sangiovese of Romagna, is the basis of many Tuscan red wines (Rosso di Montalcino, Chianti, Nobile di Montepulciano). There are two varieties: Sangiovese Grosso, which includes a variety of Brunello and Sangiovese Piccolo. The Sangiovese di Toscana has known in recent years a great popularity in California, thanks to the success of so-called "Super Tuscans". we get a wine with a ruby ??colour, an aroma reminding of red fruits, and very structured.
