Rossola

This wine is characterized by a high rusticity, because of its biting acidity, its excellent resistance to spring colds and its good vigor and fertility. On the other hand, it is sensitive to botrytis (mildew of the vine) and oidium. It is a grape variety native of Valtellina and contributes, in blends, to the wine production of several DOC and DOCG of the area.
