Rossese

It is a variety of Ligurian origin, according to the tradition, although it seems that the Doria family imported it into Italy from France, and implanted it in the Dolceacqua area, where they owned a castle until 1270. Grown in small trees, it gives wines that have light ruby red color, a vinous aroma, with scents of flowers and wild berries, a slightly tannic, soft and warm taste, despite a restrained alcohol content.
