Picolit

White grape vine variety, its origin are in Friuli and derived its name from the small size of the grapes it produces. Although it has long been considered a valuable vine variety for the quality of wine it produces its cultivation was abandoned because of the poor harvest, and just today, there is a revival of the spread of its growing. The wine has a pale yellow colour, with a bouquet reminding of the flavour of almond, peach and chestnut. It has long been the most valuable dessert wine of Italy.
