The family management of Carla, Francesco and Gian Marco, will serve you Tuscan and fish dishes with great care and courtesy. The attention for raw materials is high, as well as the level of homemade bread, pasta and desserts. We recommend you to start with the Donnini appetizer, with mixed meats and croutons, and the legendary “antinfluenzale” (“anti–flu”): tripe carpaccio, onion and piattellini beans, a recipe that has been handed down for over a century, and the salt cod mousse on soft chickpeas crouton.
To follow, first courses, such as risotto with cream of saffron in pistils, tagliatelle made of chestnut flour with duck and mushrooms ragout, tortelli stuffed with guinea fowl seasoned with truffles. Of high level are also frieds made as it was used in the past, with a net.
The Donnini Great Fried is made with chicken, rabbit, brain and seasonal vegetables.
