A few minutes from Viale Europa, in Rimaggio locality, the famous Trattoria Donnini is located, a place that recalls memories. In the past, it was a resting place for travellers who had to deal with the “Consuma”.

The architectural structure is reminiscent of the Tuscan country houses, with that air of serenity and harmony that can be found also inside. One of the rooms, in effect, offers the opportunity to dine in front of a large fireplace that immediately creates an atmosphere of relaxation and makes you feel really at home. The family management of Carla, Francesco and Gian Marco, will serve you Tuscan and fish dishes with great care and courtesy. The attention for raw materials is high, as well as the level of homemade bread, pasta and desserts. We recommend you to start with the Donnini appetizer, with mixed meats and croutons, and the legendary “antinfluenzale” (“anti–flu”): tripe carpaccio, onion and piattellini beans, a recipe that has been handed down for over a century, and the salt cod mousse on soft chickpeas crouton.

To follow, first courses, such as risotto with cream of saffron in pistils, tagliatelle made of chestnut flour with duck and mushrooms ragout, tortelli stuffed with guinea fowl seasoned with truffles. Of high level are also frieds made ​​as it was used in the past, with a net.

The Donnini Great Fried is made with chicken, rabbit, brain and seasonal vegetables. Do not miss the chicken tagliata with aromas of wood on a bed of salad greens, and a Fiorentina steak for true connoisseurs. Among the fish dishes, worth to mention are the Livorno cod fish and the fried of calamari and shrimps. Delicious desserts, such as apple pie made as it was used in the past, and a warm cake with vanilla and local apricot jam, are very suitable also for ceremonies and weddings. Ristorante I Vecchi Amici

I Vecchi Amici Restaurant and Pizzeria is a quiet place where you can taste an excellent Mediterranean and Tuscan cuisine with specialties of meat and fish.

I Vecchi Amici serves pizzas for all tastes cooked in a wood oven which gives dishes a special flavor.

The Le Chiavi d’Oro Restaurant was founded in august 2007, with the common and widely shared passion of three brothers: Teresa, Giovanna and Francesco Stilo. After years of experience, gained working in the family restaurant L’Antica Trattoria da Guido, mentioned by two wine and food Guides: Slow Food and Gambero Rosso, Francesco specializes himself at the School of kitchen of Gualtiero Marchesi in Parma, with an excellent master such as Luciano Tona. Then, the Stilo brothers decided to face the challenge in one of the most beautiful squares of the city: Piazza San Francesco.

The place, of great value and highly representative for the town, deserved a furniture style that respected the environment and enhanced the beauty of the place. Therefore, they entrusted this not so easy task to a prominent figure in the Italian design scene and friend of theirs: Vincenzo De Cotiis.

In December 2007, Le Chiavi d'Oro had the privilege of being published in the most famous magazines of Italian and international design: ELLE DECOR. The beauty, sought in the form, is found in the taste of dishes that favor products that this land offers.

All this has met great appreciation by the general public of Arezzo and not only, obtaining the warning, not of small value, on the Michelin Guide 2009.

The desire and the daily commitment of Teresa, Giovanna and Francesco, is to satisfy more and more customers and to become in Arezzo a nice culinary showcase.
