“Le Contrade” restaurant is located in a beautiful corner of the historical center of Sacile, one of the most characteristic of the town, between the Cathedral and the river Livenza.

Roberto Falcone has always had an inherent passion for food and wine culture, that developed with the collection of the best local wines of Friuli. In 2009 he took over and transformed the place into one of the most popular restaurants in the province. It managed to enrich it as Wine Bar of reference for lovers of good wine and professional tasters.

The environment is definitely warm and cozy, built in an integrated style that combines wood and stone, and that is able to interact seamlessly with the aesthetics of the dishes. You can taste wine in a warm and rather intimate atmosphere. The leather sofas located in the main room allow you to relax and enjoy after dinner even the best selected liqueurs.

Outside there is a terrace where you can eat quietly in the heart of the district without being disturbed by the noise of the town life.

In the warm seasons it becomes the perfect meeting place for summer evenings.

Inside, there is a room called “La Cantinetta”, where you can organize lunches, dinners and tastings of the fine wines that the restaurant has in its list.

“La Cantinetta” is placed in a corner that puts it in a situation of absolute privacy, which is ideal for private dinners or business lunches.

The peculiarity of this portion of the restaurant, is that of feeling pampered at home by the owner who does not lose sight of the needs of the customer.

You are surrounded by shelves with fine local wines, and the adjacency of the kitchen offers an atmosphere of pleasant familiarity mixing scents and flavors that remind us of the tradition.

As for the menu, it is balanced between meat and fish, even if a special attention in the kitchen is dedicated to fish, with themed dinners that are held every month with the combined offer of wines of the highest quality.

Every day the menu is enriched by novelties which are decided at the time of the expenditure, considering first of all the freshness of the products on which to base the menu.

The kitchen has a typical Veneto/Friuli base, but even in this case the contamination of the theme nights explores other Italian and foreign cuisines.

Not rare are wine and food events enlivened by music of quality, as it was in the case of the string quartet “The Holter Ensemble”, and others.

Another feature is the personal attention of the staff in the reception of customers, who feel immediately at ease. The various sections of the restarant allow you to fulfill all the demands of clients of various targets.

The wine list is remarkable, with more than 300 labels. As to remain faithful to the orientation towards native food, in this case Friuli wines are paramount, but there are plenty of great red wines from Tuscany, Piedmont and France. You can find a Barolo di Conterno, a Brunello Poggio alle Mura or a precious Bordeaux Chateau Mouton Rothschild. Even of the so–called “bubbles” there is a wide range, bringing out the champagne André Roger Gran Cru that Roberto Falcone has began to promote in addition to his restaurant.
