Historic Osteria owned by the Ongaro family for more than 35 years. This venue has experienced over time various transformations. From a inn on the outskirts of Monza, to a tavern of the district, to a restaurant renovated in its image with a recent renovation. The restaurant can satisfy many types of customers through out the day: at lunch it offers a business lunch at a reasonable price and a single dish, accompanied by a small menu of simple but well prepared dishes, taking into account local produce and seasonality but suitable for a quick break. In the evening, the restaurant undergoes a metamorphosis offering elegant and refined atmosphere, characterized by friendliness and courtesy suitable for a sophisticated and cosmopolitan clientele. In our kitchen we are strong reminders of the Lombard tradition with the addition of creative dishes, the menu constantly evolves making use of selected raw materials ranging from meat, fish, mushrooms and truffles.
In respect of our tradition in the menu you can find from mondeghini, to cotoletta, to sautéed rognoncino.
In the winter months you can find tripe, cazouela and boiled meat. Especially appreciated are risotto types, among which Risotto alla Mozese has been rewarded for cooking and flavors at the “Il Buongustaio” competition. While maintaining this strong traditional connotation, our menu offers dishes that are characterized by creativity and research, respecting the seasonality and freshness of raw materials. Fish remains strongly present with which you perform creative appetizers, delicious pasta dishes and more classic second courses such as baked fish, crustaceans and our fried food. Not to miss are our themed evenings and the winter event on Wednesdays with boiled meats where you can taste our ravioli in broth or light, passatelli and great buffet of boiled meat and vegetables with goat and cow’s milk and a great variety of desserts.
