La Lanterna Restaurant Pizzeria, run since 1959 by the Ardiccioni family, has been the first pizzeria in Maremma and even today its pizzas, baked in wood oven according to the tradition, are the most sought–after and well renowed in the area.
The kitchen, both of meat and fish, is based on typical and genuine ingredients and keeps an excellent value for money.
In a family and traditional environment it is possible to taste typical dishes of the area, such as the famous Spaghetti al Cartoccio that, already in 1974, won the “Il Gazzettino” prize announced by contributors.
The restaurant is open also at lunchtime.
Another characteristic of the venue is the opportunity, in summertime, to eat in the fresh veranda.
