The inn–restaurant–wine bar Borgo Colmello is a perfect place for relaxation and rest in the nature but also the ideal starting point for excursions in the countryside, from the gentle hills of the Collio area, famous for their wines, to the Isonzo valley that on the one hand opens gently into the lagoon of Grado and on the other climbs up nervously in the mountains of neighboring Slovenia.
To begin to explore and learn about the tradition, the life, the history of these lands, it is enough to take a few steps: facing the same large and sunny garden of the Borgo Colmello inn, in effect, you can visit the Museum of the peasant civilization, a real treasure chest that includes antiques, knowledge, the tools typical of the local peasant tradition of the nineteenth century, to trace with curiosity through the activities that once characterized the life of every day. Pathways that relate to the history of wine and silk are flanked by unique and unusual details about the crafts of yesteryear: the farrier, the blacksmith, the baker and many others.
