Aldo Venco was born in June 1954 and has always lived in Oltrepò Pavese. He graduated as an oenologist in Alba in 1974, and obtained the title of oenologist in 1992 with the Patria law. After consolidated experience in Piedmontese cellars, in 1994 he founded the AMPELIDEA associated studio with Dr. Giuseppe Zatti. Currently they carry out consultancy in Italy and abroad. The laboratory attached to the study deals with analysis and research and is directed by Dr. Elisa Venco. Aldo has always collaborated actively with the Italian Oenologists and Enotechnicians Association of which today he is national councilor and President of the Lombardy and Liguria section. The work philosophy is to produce wines in each wine-growing area that enhance the intimate characteristics of the grape variety and the territory. In his work Aldo combines the knowledge of the most modern technologies with respect for ancient traditions and always in saving chemical products. Aldo has a passion for Italian literature, for sports and for traveling around the world for work and for pleasure.
