1. The best Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi awarded by Gambero Rosso Great success for the Marche wineries, with labels such as Vignamato, Tenuta di Frà, Poderi Mattioli and Pievalta that have obtained the maximum score from Gambero Rosso. Coldiretti Marche expresses satisfaction: "These awards put the spotlight on the wines of the Marche, reinforcing the value of 110 million euros generated by the Doc, Docg and Igp productions".

2. Rauscedo launches the Little Train of the Roots On the occasion of the eighth edition of Le Radici del Vino in Rauscedo di San Giorgio della Richinvelda (11-13 October), it will be possible to explore the Cooperative Nurseries with a guided train that will take visitors to discover the production of rootstocks, vines destined to become the wines of the future.

3. 7. 75 Piedmontese wines awarded Tre Bicchieri by Gambero Rosso Piedmont confirms itself as one of the most prestigious wine regions in Italy with 75 labels awarded by Gambero Rosso. Barolo and Barbaresco dominate the scene, confirming the qualitative primacy of the Langhe and the worldwide fame of Piedmontese wine.

8. Visit of Minister Lollobrigida to the Ancient Mastroberardino Cellars The historic Irpinian cellars of Mastroberardino in Atripalda welcomed the Minister of Agriculture, Francesco Lollobrigida, underlining the central role of the Campania winemaking tradition. The visit highlighted the history and winemaking excellence of the region.

9. “Profumi di Mosto”: the great Garda showcase celebrates the record number of wineries On October 6, 27 wineries between Valtenesi and Lake Garda will open their doors for the 23rd edition of “Profumi di Mosto”. The event, which attracts thousands of wine lovers every year, will offer tastings among the hills and lake landscapes on a day dedicated to the autumnal flavours of the area.

10. Milano Wine Week kicks off: focus on young people From 5 to 13 October, Milano Wine Week is preparing to welcome 50,000 visitors, more than half of whom are under 35. The goal is to bring young people closer to the world of wine through innovative events and experimental formats that promote more dynamic and modern communication.

11. Italian Wine on Tour in the USA and Mexico The "Simply Italian Great Wines US Tour" will stop in New York, San Francisco and Mexico City from October 7 to 10. The event, organized by IEM, aims to consolidate the US market and expand sales in the promising markets of Mexico, with a focus on high-end wines.

12. Giovanni Rosso and Il Marroneto at the top of the DoctorWine Guide 2025 Giovanni Rosso's Barolo Ester Canale Vigna Rionda 2020 and Il Marroneto's Brunello di Montalcino Madonna delle Grazie 2019 have obtained the highest score in the DoctorWine Guide 2025, confirming their place among the best red wines in Italy.

13. Benvenuto Brunello: from November 14 to 18 in Montalcino The 33rd edition of Benvenuto Brunello will be held in Montalcino from November 14 to 18, with 126 wineries and over 500 labels for tasting. This year, the Consortium is introducing some new features, including tastings open to the public and wine lovers, who will be able to meet the producers.
