THE GARDA DOC CONSORTIUM IN ZURICH FOR AN APPOINTMENT DEDICATED TO SECTOR OPERATORS IN ONE OF THE REFERENCE MARKETS FOR GARDA WINE TOURISM

21 September, Sommacampagna – The Consorzio Garda DOC , next 9 October, in Zurich, will present the excellence of the denomination during the event The genesis of the Garda Doc . An event designed for the Association Suisse des Sommeliers Professionnels aimed at getting to know the history of the Consortium and its wines up close. Over the years, the Garda DOC Consortium has carried out multiple promotional actions in Switzerland, and the next autumn event in Zurich, aimed at sommeliers and Food and beverage managers, curated by Rocco Lettieri, is part of a strategy of well-defined promotion. “ Many Swiss consumers are passionate visitors to the area and reward DOC Garda wines both for their quality and for the connected experiential tourism – underlines the President of the Garda DOC Consortium Paolo Fiorini – therefore we continuously provide useful opportunities for dissemination given the importance of a appropriate information, alongside those who, especially in the summer period, love to discover the denomination, the cellars and our varied territory ”. Switzerland, in fact, plays a strategic role for the Garda DOC Consortium: in addition to being one of the markets that have most rewarded Lake Garda as a summer tourist destination, the country is also one of the target places for wine exports of the denomination, second only to the German market. The Zurich event will be an opportunity for participants to taste a selection of wines from local producers. The producers will be present at the counters in person, who will be able to present their company and then have a direct discussion with the sommeliers. During the event, a video documentary dedicated to the heterogeneity of the Garda DOC soil will also be screened. Switzerland is not only a very important outlet market for the Garda DOC denomination but is also a reference market for Italian wine, with a steadily growing trend in recent years.
