Teroldego exhibition, the 33rd edition begins

Great anticipation for the preview of the 2023 vintage, where the producers will offer barrel trials for tasting.

The Mostra del Teroldego returns again this year, a wine event dedicated to the prince of Trentino reds whose first strains - according to a local legend - were born from the drops of blood of the dragon that tyrannized the Piana Rotaliana. The location is once again the suggestive courtyard of Palazzo Martini , in the heart of Mezzocorona , the pulsating center of the Piana Rotaliana, north of Trento, of which Teroldego certainly represents the most identifying product.

The event, scheduled from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 May , is organized by the Pro Loco of Mezzocorona in collaboration with the Piana Rotaliana-Köningsberg Tourist Consortium and with the support of the Trentino Wine and Flavor Route, in addition to the involvement of the professionals from the AIS and ONAV wine world.

The inauguration , scheduled for 6pm on Friday , will open three days in which technical moments will alternate with convivial moments. In particular, there are three masterclasses on the calendar. The first on Friday at 5.30 pm entitled " Comparison of years, 2011-2021, evolution or revolution " conducted by Roberto Anesi, best AIS sommelier 2017. It will be followed by the appointment on May 18th, at 2.00 pm, organized by Teroldego Evolution " The different refinements of Teroldego: from wood, to concrete, to steel, to ceramic, to amphora ", while on Sunday, at 10.00, it will be the turn of ONAV with " Teroldego Vino Principe della Piana Rotaliana ", in which three rosé versions will be proposed, three classic and three over-ripened for a guided comparison.

The most awaited moment however remains the Teroldego Rotaliano 2023 Preview , with tasting tables managed by the producers themselves to offer barrel tests of the latest cellared vintage. The special occasion is from 4pm to 7pm on Saturday afternoon.

Alongside these opportunities for in-depth study, the wine bar managed by AIS staff will be operational from 7.00pm to 12.00am on Fridays and Saturdays, with over 30 Teroldego Rotaliano labels and a selection of cocktails based on grappa and other local spirits, paired with to finger food from local restaurants: 3Cime Restaurant on Friday evening and Hotel Cafè Centrale Restaurant on Saturday. The atmosphere is guaranteed by the live music of Duo Gloves and Ina Pross.

On Sunday morning there will be space for culture, with guided tours of the rooms of Palazzo Martini by Margherita Faes, from 9.30 to 12.30, while from 12.00 to 15.00 it will be the turn of good food with " Teroldego&Sapori a palazzo ", a typical tortel-based lunch of potatoes.

The Mezzocorona event is certainly also an opportunity to get to know the area up close, including bike tours along the Giro del Vino 50, promoted by the Piana Rotaliana Königsberg Tourist Consortium (www.pianarotaliana.it) and the Road Taste Experiences of the Wine and Flavors of Trentino, to be experienced on foot, by bike or by train (details on www.TasteTrentino.it/Vino).
