Over 450 attendees at the second edition of La Sardegna di Vinodabere , which was held on Sunday 21st and Monday 22nd January in Rome at the Hotel Belstay.
Tasting the over 160 labels were 160 sector operators (wine shop owners, restaurateurs and agents), and around 90 wine communicators including journalists, bloggers and influencers.
The two masterclasses , “The Nepente of Oliena and its interpretations” and “Ogliastra, Orgosolo and Romangia, territories compared”, were sold out , with the participation of over 90 people including communicators, operators and enthusiasts.
With 35 wineries present at the tasting tables , where the winemakers were present, it was possible to take a unique journey among the Sardinian vines and appreciate the differences between the various territories . Not only Cannonau, Carignano and Vermentino but also rarer vines such as Cagnulari, Bovale, Monica, Malvasia, Semidano, Torbato...
By tasting 165 labels, including classic and Charmat method sparkling wines, whites, rosés, reds and sweet wines, it was possible to have a picture of what Sardinian viticulture is, made up of commitment in the vineyard and in the cellar, of traditions and synergies. The presence of some producer associations and some consortia have demonstrated how important teamwork is to emerge even when you are a small winemaker and wine artisan.
The appointment with the third edition of La Sardegna di Vinodabere is for next year .
A special thank you goes to the people who took part in the event and especially to the wineries present.
