FROM TUSCANY TO NEW YORK, THE LONG SPRING OF CAIAROSSA

It starts from a somewhat "secret" Tuscany, that of Val di Cecina, and travels in Italy and around the world in the spring of wine 2024: Caiarossa is a winery that has followed the principles of Biodynamic and Organic agriculture since 1998 , and which was then purchased by Eric Albada Jelgersma , looking for an Italian inspiration that he could combine with his historic Château Giscours estate, in the Margaux appellation in Bordeaux. There are many aspects for which Caiarossa stands out, among these there is the firm intention to make itself known for its notable presence at sector trade fairs around the world and at the most important events on the Italian and international wine scene. “ Every date on the calendar in which we are protagonists with our wines - underlines Daniele Parri , Export Manager - represents a precious opportunity for meeting, dialogue and direct comparison. Placing a face behind a bottle is fundamental for us, describing its quality and allowing those interested to know our history, our values, our philosophy which undoubtedly starts from an international imprint, but which has assimilated the perfumes and the character of the Tuscan territory ”. It begins at the Real Collegio of Lucca, Sunday 17 and Monday 18 March, with the Preview of the wines of the Tuscan Coast : the Great Crus of the Tuscan Coast are born, in fact, in a part of land between five provinces, Massa, Lucca, Livorno , Grosseto and Pisa, such as Caiarossa, which is based in Riparbella. These production areas, naturally with different characters, are united by the influence of the Tyrrhenian Sea, with its winds and its scents. Furthermore, this year there is a particular focus on environmental sustainability, a theme dear to Caiarossa. Another zoom on the region to which it belongs is Terre di Toscana 2024 , which brings together Tuscan wine excellences on 24 and 25 March at Lido di Camaiore in Lucca. Tasting will include the wines of 140 producers including niche winemakers and international brands, from historic houses to international brands, up to niche winemakers, to offer a proposal that responds to criteria of representation and territorial representativeness, deliberately diversified for intentions, approaches and styles.

Two other unmissable events will be for Caiarossa, Summa and Vinitaly . The first, historic event at the Alois Lageder estate in Magré on the Wine Route (Bolzano), which for 25 years has called together producers who share ideals linked to healthy agriculture (organic, biodynamic or in conversion). This year, on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th April, there will be 114 wineries from nine countries that make excellence their prerogative: among these, Caiarossa. Instead, there is all the Made in Italy wine products from all the Italian regions and from over 30 nations at the 56th edition of Vinitaly, scheduled for Veronafiere from 14th to 17th April . The exhibition center of over 180 thousand net square meters is ready to become the international agora of the wine business for 4,000 already confirmed wineries. Caiarossa will offer the opportunity to taste the entire range of wines at its stand – Pavilion 9, Stand D16.

Having received a rating of more than 90 points from the editors of Wine Spectator and JamesSuckling.com, the Caiarossa wines will then be the protagonists of special tastings: respectively, at the Wine Spectator Grand Tour , on April 26th in New Orleans, on May 4th in Las Vegas and on May 11th in Denver and at Suckling's Great wines of the world , on June 6th at The Glasshouse in New York, selected from over 380 best producers from the best wine regions in the world.

Caiarossa will finally participate in the Canadian leg of the Tre Bicchieri World Tour , with which Gambero Rosso brings the excellence and culture of true Made in Italy overseas. A special walk-around tasting dedicated to a selection of 20 labels from Italian wineries is scheduled for May 6th in the hall of the Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex in Toronto.
