Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th January Hotel Belstay, Via Bogliasco, 27 – Rome

Over 600 attendees at the third edition of La Sardegna di Vinodabere, which was held on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 January in Rome at the Hotel Belstay. Tasting the over 200 labels were also 170 industry operators (wine merchants, restaurateurs and agents), and around 100 wine communicators including journalists, bloggers and influencers. With 47 wineries present at the tasting tables, where the winemakers were present, it was possible to take a journey through the senses, therefore, among the productions from the territories of Alghero, Anglona, Gallura, Mamoiada, Mandrolisai, Jerzu and Ogliastra, Oliena, Orgosolo, Oristanese, Romangia, Sulcis and southern Sardinia. But the goal that seems to have been achieved goes beyond the numbers. The feelings collected among the participants tell us of enthusiasm and awareness of having made a real discovery of the wine heritage of the Region and the high quality of its wines. Appreciation was also expressed for the possibility of tasting Pecorino Romano, made available by the relevant Consortium for the Protection, sponsor of the event, which is based in Sardinia. The appointment with the fourth edition of La Sardegna di Vinodabere will be brought forward to December 2025. Special thanks go to the people who took part in the event and especially to the wineries and pastry shops present. The territories, wines and gastronomic specialties of Sardinia have always been, since its birth, at the center of attention of the newspaper Vinodabere and its director Maurizio Valeriani.

The Guide to the Best Wines of Sardinia (link [35]), now in its seventh edition, published online between August and September 2024, has seen an incredible number of readings (over 500 thousand).
