The beauty of the Dolomites of Val di Fiemme and the vineyard terraces of the Cembra Valley, with its 700 kilometers of dry stone walls, are the exceptional setting that once again hosts Dolo-Vini-Miti, the vertical wine festival .
Ten days of events and appointments, from Friday 11th to Sunday 20th October , to better discover these two territories, their history and their characteristics but, above all, their most significant productions.
The main protagonists are the wines of the Cembra Valley , often defined as "vertical". A concept that translates into three meanings: the landscape one, since they are born in the vineyards torn up with difficulty by man from the prohibitive slopes of the valley, which reach up to 40%; that of longevity, also guaranteed by the distinctive acidity of the grapes which brilliantly stands the test of time even in varieties that are consumed young elsewhere; that of flavor, the result of predominantly porphyritic soils.
Different lenses that will be brought into focus on the occasion of as many masterclasses , entrusted to some of the best sommeliers on the wine scene also through the involvement of other Italian territories of reference for wine production: from the volcanic ones of Etna, Vesuvius, Tuscia, Gambellara, Lessini Durello, Pitigliano, Boca, to the heroic ones of Valtellina up to those of the Langhe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Alongside these technical moments, a whole series of events of different nature develop: from the conference on wine landscapes to the round table on outdoor experiences and walks; from the " Wine Trekking Gourmet " to cross the terraced vineyards with pleasant high-level gastronomic breaks set up in traditional rural huts with the coordination of the starred chef Alessandro Gilmozzi, to the " Caneve en festa ", a convivial aperitif with unmissable stops in the private cellars of Cembra , exceptionally open to the public for the occasion. And again, for those who love discovering the area at a "slow" pace, walks with medium mountain guides , who will guide participants to discover truly hidden corners of the area. Unmissable are the outings in Val di Fiemme, with final aperitifs overlooking the Dolomites , and the dedicated meeting with the local food and wine producers .
And then cinema, theater and shows, such as the one organized by the Miscele d'Aria Factory collective, but also an evening entirely dedicated to artisanal grappas and their mixing into original cocktails. A contemporary proposal to celebrate this distillate so intrinsically linked to the history of the Cembra Valley and the subsistence of its families in the past.
As a corollary, dedicated menus in the restaurants of the two valleys and dedicated initiatives in the cellars, as well as the opening of a temporary restaurant at Ca' dei Volti in Cembra during the two weekends of the event.
