AIS – Associazione Italiana Sommelier Veneto has chosen the Santa Lucia di Piave international exhibition centre (Treviso) for the fourth edition of Vinetia Tasting – Il Veneto nel Calice , scheduled for Sunday 23 March 2025. The event will feature the best companies in the region and their wines, carefully selected by the AIS Sommeliers in the Vinetia Guide, presented last 18 November in Venice. The new location was chosen thanks to the large spaces available, which will be able to accommodate a greater number of wineries than in previous years. The new features also include the presence of some of the Veneto protection Consortia , to which specific areas have been dedicated, and the busy calendar. of masterclasses and in-depth sessions scheduled, led by expert wine communicators.
“For Vinetia Tasting we chose the Fiere di Santa Lucia di Piave – explains Gianpaolo Breda , President of AIS Veneto – to meet the needs of an ever-growing and increasingly curious public, which has participated with great enthusiasm in the rich offer of the event since its first edition. Now we will be able to give more prominence to the regional wine excellences by hosting many more companies than in previous events, as well as the Veneto protection Consortia. A new format dedicated to all wine lovers and to all those who want to discover the world of AIS Veneto up close, made of competence and in-depth knowledge of the wine world”.
In addition to the exhibiting companies and the masterclasses, during Vinetia Tasting – Il Veneto nel Calice there will also be space for the diploma award ceremony for 250 new Sommeliers : an emotional moment to celebrate an important milestone for those who have completed the three-level course, thus passing the theoretical and practical exam. “It will be an occasion for great celebration – concludes Breda – dedicated to those who, with commitment, study and rigor, have managed to obtain the AIS Sommelier diploma, becoming ambassadors of the culture of Veneto wine”.
