MASI** Sandro Boscaini participates in the event of the Italian Representation in Paris for the Centenary of OIV

The President of Masi represented the historic winery, as the only Italian wine company in the OIV Business Consortium. At the end of the event, a toast was served with Masi wines.

The President of Masi Sandro Boscaini was among the guests of the event organized on 26 June by the Permanent Representation of Italy to the International Organizations in Paris to celebrate the centenary of the foundation of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV).

The Valpolicella winery collaborated in this prestigious initiative as a member of the International Consortium of Companies which carries out a technical function within OIV, representing the winemaking excellence of our country with its wines.

The President Luigi Moio, the General Director John Barker and Giorgio Delgrosso, head of the Data Management and Digital Transition Office, spoke for OIV at the conference, entitled “History of Wine Cultivation: from Innovation on Earth to Lunar Terroir”; Professor Eugenio Pomarici, of the University of Padua and Massimo Claudio Comparini, CEO of Thales Alenia Space Italia.

In his speech on the sidelines of the conference, Sandro Boscaini, President and CEO of Masi , underlined: "Masi, as the only Italian company part of the Consortium, is honored to be able to participate in this Centenary and feels the responsibility of representing the most historic country of the vine and wine. I share this tribute to our company with all the collaborators, in particular with the Masi Technical Group, which in over four decades of passionate and professional commitment, and with its most accredited academic and scientific contacts in the world, has kept the message of the peculiarities high of Italy with its inimitable heritage of native grapes and terroir".

Following, during dinner, Andrea Dal Cin, Technical Director of Masi , guided the guests in tasting a selection of labels offered by the company. Among these, the inevitable Amarone Classico Costasera , 2019 vintage; the Passo Blanco 2023 , Pinot Grigio produced on the Masi Tupungato estate in Argentina which Masi has married with organic Torrontés grapes processed according to the techniques of Masi expertise , and the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Brut Setàge , a dry and silky sparkling wine, a point of reference for production of Canevel.
