Truffle Festival in Giurdignano: here is the program

PRESS RELEASE Giurdignano talks about itself on the occasion of the Truffle Festival. Many workshops, cooking shows and guided tours to discover the area scheduled from 24 to 26 May.

“Giurdignano Truffle Festival - Land of truffles, megaliths, illuminations and cuttings”, first edition of the territorial promotion event which aims to tell the beauty and goodness of the small Salento village, presents itself with a calendar full of events scheduled from 24 to 26 May 2024 . The initiative - conceived by the Puglia Expò Association chaired by Michele Bruno - takes shape in conjunction with the recent award to the Municipality of Giurdignano of the coveted recognition of "City of Truffles" by the National Association of Truffle Cities based in Alba (CN) and will involve entrepreneurs, researchers, journalists and bloggers from across the region . We start every day with an "experience" , a real itinerant guided tour linked to a product of the land - wine, truffles and oil - which always ends with a tour inside a local company Idruntine hinterland. However, the Baronial Palace is the beating heart of the event. Here, over the course of three days, you can take part in a series of cooking shows featuring books and cooking, dedicated to lovers of good food and reading. It will be an opportunity to discover the best combinations between excellent ingredients and local truffle varieties, allowing us to suggest some interesting thematic publications. And then, ample space will be dedicated to gastronomic insights and workshops with researchers, experts and sector operators who will discuss new trends in the kitchen. Also particularly interesting is the daily appointment with interviews , in which you will have the opportunity to get to know the people behind the most significant entrepreneurial projects born in Giurdignano and its surroundings. “It will be a pleasure to welcome important operators in the food sector, and not only, to our Municipality on the occasion of this beautiful celebration” states Mayor Monica Gravante . “Giurdignano is a small reality, it's true, but there is great excitement here and we have a lot to tell.” Here is the complete program:
