Latteria Perenzin, Open Day Dairies: experiences, tastings and end-of-summer parties in the castle

Open doors on September 21st and 22nd in San Pietro di Feletto: an unmissable opportunity to taste the best creations of the famous and award-winning Treviso dairy

Cheese lovers or simple gourmets will be able to immerse themselves for two days in the aromas, flavors and stories of the cheeses of the award-winning Latteria Perenzin of San Pietro di Feletto (Treviso) in the splendid setting of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Hills, a UNESCO heritage site, and have the opportunity to get to know one of the most important Italian dairy excellences up close. On September 21st and 22nd, on the occasion of “Caseifici Open Day”, the maître fromager Emanuela Perenzin, together with her children Matteo and Erika, have organized a weekend full of events including experiences and tastings to let you taste the best of their creations.

The program begins on Friday, September 20, at 7:00 p.m., with a talk at Villa Gera entitled “The art of cheesemaking between fate and fortune, the legacy of Francesco Gera from Conegliano and the future of modern cheesemakers” and a small cheese buffet.

On Saturday 21 September at PER Bottega & Cheese Bar, at 10.30 am, there will be a tour with a visit to the Dairy, the Premiata Latteria Perenzin Museum and a guided tasting of cheeses and wines; at 5 pm there will be a tour with a visit to the Dairy, the Premiata Latteria Perenzin Museum and a guided tasting of cheeses and cocktails.

Also on Saturday 21 September, at the Castello di Formeniga, from 5:00 pm, there is the Garden of Wonders for adults and children with free admission: Cheese Making Experience corner with a demonstration of how cheese is made, entertainment and games area, the possibility of visiting the animals of the farm and awards ceremony of the drawing competition for children. At 5:00 pm, for the older ones, there is also a Cake Design workshop and, from 6:00 pm, DJ-set and aperitif in the Panoramic Garden.

Perenzin Latteria was founded in 1898 from an idea by Domenico Perenzin; after more than a century of life, today the fourth generation is at the helm of the company with Emanuela Perenzin and the collaboration of her children Matteo and Erika who represent the fifth generation. It has always worked with cow's milk, which was then joined by goat's milk (since 1999) and buffalo milk (since 2010). It produces traditional and organic cheeses, which have won multiple awards in both Italian and international competitions.
