Cantina Tollo supports the fourth edition of the Food&Wine Italia Awards by awarding the ALT Stazione del Gusto project and the Numero Zero restaurant in Perugia , respectively for the Innovation in Food and Social Responsibility in Food categories. ALT Stazione del Gusto is the project by chef Niko Romito in collaboration with Enilive which aims to combine good and tasty food with the concept of street catering: an idea born in 2018 thanks to the shared values of the two realities, which see innovation as resource and who have the desire to always put people at the centre. Numero Zero is the place in Perugia where half the team is made up of psychiatric patients supported by catering professionals, supervised by clinical staff. A psychiatric day center during the day and a restaurant in the evening, the space is designed to create an opportunity for patients to socialize, but also true inclusion that takes the form of paid work. “We are thrilled to witness these two projects totally in line with the nature and mission of Cantina Tollo” states President Luciano Gagliardi . “Our group, in fact, has always worked with great attention to the dimension of sociality and through continuous research aims to create new prospects for valorising the territory as these splendid realities that today we have the honor of rewarding have done”, he comments. the General Director Andrea Di Fabio . The awards were assigned by a board made up of the editorial staff of Food&Wine Italia and authoritative journalists, bloggers and communication and design experts. The awards ceremony, presented by the presenter Francesca Romana Barberini, took place on Monday 27 November in the Casa del Cinema in Villa Borghese, in Rome. In particular, ALT Stazione del Gusto was awarded in the Food Innovation category because it is considered a scalable project that combines energy innovation, quality services and food, engineering and making accessible even to young investors a street catering model with a popular approach that offers quality and research content at affordable prices with a transversal offer from breakfast to dinner. Numero Zero was awarded the Social Responsibility in Food mention for being a virtuous social-work inclusion project that investigates the topic of mental health in the world of catering.
