Vinetia – The Guide to Veneto Wines by AIS Veneto is presented: two sweet wines conquer journalists and restaurateurs

Ca' Biasi's Torcolato Breganze DOC 2020 and Agostino Vicentini's Recioto di Soave DOCG 2022 won the quality award from the two juries. The 7 Fero Awards were assigned to the best wines of Veneto. Vinetia Tasting 2025 will be on Sunday 23 March in Santa Lucia di Piave

The eleventh edition of Vinetia – The Guide to Veneto Wines was presented on Monday 18 November at the Hotel Ca' Sagredo in Venice , in an exclusive event that celebrated the region's excellent wines. Curated by AIS Veneto , the Vinetia guide selects the best wines of Veneto every year. The event also saw the awarding of the Fero Award – Best Wine of Veneto , recognizing the finest wine products for each of the seven categories . The most deserving labels were also awarded two quality prizes by separate commissions, composed respectively of journalists and restaurateurs : the former gave their recognition to the Torcolato Breganze DOC 2020 by Ca' Biasi , while the latter chose the Recioto di Soave DOCG 2022 by Agostino Vicentini .

The winner in the Best Martinotti Method Sparkling Wine category was Vigneto Giardino Asciutto Valdobbiadene DOCG Rive di Colbertaldo 2023 by Adami, while the award for Best Classic Method Sparkling Wine was given to Cuvée Augusto 10-10 Extra Brut 2012 by Dal Cero. The Best White Wine went to Riserva Del Lupo Lugana Riserva DOC 2020 by Ca' Lojera, while the Best Rosé Wine was awarded to Tecla Chiaretto di Bardolino DOC 2023 by Benazzoli. The award for Best Red Wine was given to Gemola Rosso Colli Euganei DOC 2019 by Vignalta, while the Best Red Wine for Aging was Amarone Della Valpolicella Riserva DOCG 2015 by Brigaldara. For Best Sweet Wine , the award went to Torcolato Breganze DOC 2020 by Ca' Biasi.

“The 2025 edition of Vinetia also saw great participation from Veneto wineries, with over 400 companies and almost 2,100 wines tasted,” explains Giovanni Geremia , curator of the guide. “ Vinetia represents a meticulous analysis of the wine world of our region, with businesses spread across all seven provinces. The only Guide to Veneto wines , it is easy to consult both on your smartphone, through the dedicated app, and on the website vinetia.it.”

The tasters of Vinetia 2025 awarded 247 wines with the 4 Rosoni , which represent the highest score range assigned by the tasting commission. Another 85 labels received the Ducato , the recognition dedicated to references that combine high quality with advantageous prices. Finally, the best 50 producers out of a total of over 400 were awarded the Rialto Prize for excellence in wine production.

“The Vinetia guide is a collective work, the result of in-depth research aimed at exploring every corner of the Veneto to discover its best wine expressions. – declares the president of AIS Veneto, Gianpaolo Breda –. This intense work will continue on March 23, 2025 with Vinetia Tasting , the event that brings the best labels of the region to the tasting. For this great event we have expanded the offer by involving more than 100 companies and several protection Consortia. With many masterclasses that will alternate during the day, Vinetia Tasting will allow to deepen the excellence of the territory and will also be the occasion to celebrate the 250 new sommeliers who have obtained the diploma, becoming part of our great professional family”.

At the end of the presentation, the date of the fourteenth edition of Vinetia Tasting – Il Veneto nel Calice was announced, an eagerly awaited annual event organized by AIS Veneto that brings the wines awarded by the Guide to tasting. The event is set for Sunday, March 23, 2025 at the Santa Lucia di Piave exhibition center.
