The Pinot Grigio wine is a genetic mutation of Pinot Noir grape variety, originally from Burgundy, and was imported to Italy about a century ago in the area of ​​Como, to be extended in Veneto, Friuli and Trentino. Like all the Pinot grapes, itis very difficult to cultivate and to vinify, but in Triveneto this variety finds a suitable climate, so that the wine produced from the grapes has been, for several years, the most appreciated in Italy.

The Pinot Grigio wine is excellent accompanied by dishes of fish or white meats, with cheese and salami. It is consumed as an aperitif accompanied by light appetizers.

In Italy it is mainly produced in Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
