Historical-cultural tips and curiosities: Even today the origin of the Tai Rosso grapes are uncertain: according to some theories it was brought as a gift from Provence, according to other theories it would come instead from trade with Hungary. According to a legend, a carpenter Vicenza, at the end of his military service in Hungary at the times of Maria Theresa of Austria, brought home some cuttings of a vineyard in the area of Tokaji, which became known in Vicenza with the name of Marangona (ie "the carpenter's daughter"), and the wine produced from its grapes became Tocai del Marangon.
