In the mouth it is soft, pleasantly sour, full. Historical-cultural information and curiosities: Nero d'Avola was imported by the Greeks in Sicily. A famous legend tells that the Nero d'Avola wine was born from the tears of Dionysus. Serving suggestions: It is a red wine that is full, slightly acidic. Therefore, it goes well with red meat dishes, also fat, mushrooms, cheese, and especially with complex and important fish dishes. Production area: Territories of Sicily of traditional winemaking. Grape varieties allowed for its production: Nero d'Avola (minimum 85%). It is allowed for a maximum of 15% the use of grapes from vineyards authorized by the Sicily region.
