It is a French white wine, produced in the Loire Valley, in the southeast of Nantes. The Muscadet vine is the Melon de Bourgogne. Since the taste of Muscadet is scarce, many winemakers let the wine ferment on the lees for many months in order to give it more character and liveliness.
