With the noun Malvasia it is customary to refer to several varieties that may differ from each other for plant morphology, colour, flavour and biochemical composition of the fruit. Only in Italy there are 12 varieties. From Malvasia grapes a sweet wine of deep colouring is obtained, with high alcohol content and with an intense aroma of dried fruits.
