Madeira is a fortified wine produced in the Portuguese archipelago of Madeira. Madeira is created as white wine but, after being warmed, at 38°C, for a period not less than 3 months in estufas, it takes an amber color, a flavour reminiscent of burnt caramel and a high alcohol content.
