An artisan company, owned by the Poli family, founded in 1898 in Schiavon, near Bassano del Grappa, in the heart of Veneto, the most renowned region for Grappa production.
The building in which the Distillery is located is considered of historical and environmental interest because of its portico structure typical of the ancient rural dwellings of the Veneto region. Visits are welcome by appointment.
The Distillery operates with three distillation plants:
– an old still completely made of copper, among the rare existing today, consisting of 12 cauldrons working at discontinuous cycle flowing steam, ideal for the distillation of pomace from red grapes;
– Athanor, a still with two boilers in a water bath with classical conception, installed in 2001, used for the distillation of grapes, fruit and wine;
– Crysopea, a still with two boilers in a water bath vacuumized, installed in 2009 after years of research, which is used for the distillation of pomace from white grapes, considered the most innovative system in operation today for Grappa production.
